On the High Holy Days, we transform ourselves from a small intimate congregation to a group of over 200 people. However, we still try hard not to lose our basic warmth, friendliness and unpretentious atmosphere. Many of our High Holy Day worshippers come back year after year, and we value them as friends and members.
Our High Holy Day services will be led by Rabbi Ben Lanckton, Jewish chaplain at Mass General Hospital and our old friend, Dr. David Fishman, who is professor of Jewish History at Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. He's been associated with the shul since his student days at Harvard. Ben and David will be assisted by knowledgeable people from our congregation, including Noah Weingarten and Mark Schonfeld.
We're also pleased to announce that Michael Maleson, our shofar blower extraordinaire, will be back again this year. Hearing Michael blow shofar is an amazing experience!
As at most shuls, fees for High Holy Day tickets help maintain the synagogue on a year-round basis. We encourage people to become members of the shul, which includes a High Holy Day ticket for single membership (two for family memberships). We also sell additional tickets to members and tickets to non-members.
The details for membership and for High Holy Day tickets can be found on the membership page.
